Vetta helps you connect with YOUR vet online. Your vet knows you and your pets better than anyone, and our technology helps you get their help and advice quickly and conveniently.
Vetta does not provide any medical or veterinary advice or clinical services. We are the communications and payment platform that helps you pay for and get veterinary help online. The Vetta platform supports existing veterinarian-patient-client-relationships (VCPR).
Vets can receive notifications about Vetta visits 24x7 and we make it possible for veterinarians to manage visits anytime and anywhere. Your veterinarian can list their expected response time on the site.
If you need help immediately or if it’s an emergency, you should get help from your vet right away. And if you submit a Vetta visit and your pet’s symptoms change, reach out to your vet or the nearest emergency veterinary provider as soon as possible.
Your vet makes all the clinical decisions regarding your pet’s care and as long as it is medically appropriate, your Vetta can decide based on what he or she learns during your online visit if a diagnosis is possible, or if you need further examination (e.g. tests, a physical exam, another specialty visit) just like an in-office visit.
We do not guarantee a diagnosis or prescription since it’s not always necessary for your pet.
If your vet recommends going in to the office for further diagnostics or care, they can apply their portion of the Vetta fee to an in-office visit.
The most common reasons for visits are related to follow-ups after a spay/neuter, skin problems, allergies, and infections. Other common reasons for visits include: sneezing, upper respiratory infections, diarrhea/vomiting, and poisoning.
More general situations include:
- You've found it difficult to get to a veterinary appointment.
- You need to have a follow-up visit after surgery or other in-office visit.

- Your pet ate a potential poison and you need help.
- You have a question and you just aren’t sure what to do.
Your Vetta is able to determine which types of conditions they will cover through our service. After you select your vet during a Vetta visit, you’ll be able to see what your vet has chosen to cover with our service.

Of course! We make it possible for you to look back at the information you sent to your vet and their response. Our notes and images/video can also be uploaded into many veterinary practice electronic medical records.
